Self-Published Author & Educator Timi McGill “Chicken 50” from “Timi’s Kitchen Online”. Timi is originally from Montreal, Canada and some of her wonderful memories of cooking with her mother in the kitchen as a child, and French cuisine have had some influence as she evolves in her journey with cooking. Her desire and passion for cooking clearly began early as she noticed this is one of her gifts.  This is an example of how early gifts reveal themselves in our lives…

Timi’s joy for cooking was encouraged & inspired not only by her mother, but also by the warm compliments her father gave her as she presented meals from her heart to him, Julia Childs, family, and friends.  Timi’s story, journey, life evolution also ventured into education, as an educator another gift, but as life has it she’d like to transition to where her heart leads her now, which is back to the kitchen; as in “Timi’s Kitchen Online” and her book “Chicken 50” representing 50 healthy recipes for chicken.

In addition to Walking Through Illusion (published by O-Books, an imprint of John Hunt Publishing Ltd), Betsy Otter Thompson is the author of The Mirror Theory (published by Hampton Roads Publishing) and 4 self-published books through her own company, Ascension Publishing. The self-published books are now at of print, but Betsy hopes to eventually get them on e-books. 

Betsy life's journey includes and began in media, as a native Philadelphian with a B.F.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, Betsy worked as an account executive for WFIL radio in Philadelphia and from there went to radio stations WPEN and WFLN. After that, she became a commercial print model and acted in television commercials in New York and Philadelphia.

The infamous indie artist jazz bassist, composer, minister, educator, self-Published author and so much more Russel Blake joins us again with his upcoming release CD “Meditation & Fierce Solitude”.  To say the least Russel is extremely gifted, humble, inspiring, empowering, and full of encouragement.  When you listen to his music, you can sense who he is, his history, his international travels and influences, his spirit… Russel has a respect, admiration, and spiritual reverence for woman which is reflected in his book “Proverbs 31: The Virtuous Black Woman Volume 1”, which is a must have for your library.  He takes this spiritual reverence for woman and expresses it in this beautiful poetically styled book, then the next level via music through songs like “Black Woman Rising” & “Nubian Queen” from his “Fierce Solitude” CD’s.

Russel’s musical career spans 3 decades and is an integral part of a generational history incorporating his Father, Latin Great Alexander Blake and his Brother, World Renowned Jazz Bassist Alex Blake II. All of Russel’s theory, compositional, and musical arrangement skills are self-taught.  he has performed/toured/lectured in 65 countries on five continents. As an Educator, Mr. Blake has taught as an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Bass Studies at four universities across the country. He is the creator of “The Universal Language Music History & Cultural Program” of which Mr. Blake has taught to a variety of audiences from elementary through high school, colleges and universities, Senior Centers, Prisons, Hospitals, Military Installations, and Art Galleries about the history of Music. 

As a concert soloist, Mr. Blake continues to perform all over the world. He has developed a unique ability on the Four String Electric Bass which he calls the “Melodius-Chordal Technique.” He currently has over 432 pieces within his repertoire encompassing Classical, Spanish Classical, Traditional Jazz, Brazilian, Opera, Latin, and Gospel Jazz.

As a Bassist, a short list of whom he has performed/toured/ recorded includes five years as the exclusive Bassist for Jazz Great Sonny Rollins(in addition to two CD recordings), Pharoah Sanders, Hugh Masekela, Paquito D’Rivera, Hilton Ruiz, Mongo Santamaria, Rafael Cortijo Y El Gran Combo, Vanessa Rubin, Jorge Dalto, Bobby Enriquez, Bobby Rodriguez, Gil Evans, Angela Bofill, Michel Camilo, Papo DeLucca, T.S.Monk, George Coleman, Gary Bartz, Chaka Kahn, Billy Cobham, Wallace Roney, Hiram Bullock, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Harry Belafonte, Machito Y Su Orquesta, Dave Valentin, Michel Camillo, Sam Rivers, Clark Terry, Mary Wells, Wynton Marsalis, Melba Moore, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Angie Stone, Gloria Gaynor, Brenda Russell, and Cybill Shepherd Tramaine Hawkins, Mary Mary, and Micah Stampley. He also performed on Broadway as a bassist in the The Lion King and Dreamgirls.

Inspirational Spoken Word Artist, Poet, Self-Published Author, Motivational Speaker A.D. Jones

Inspirational Spoken Word Artist, Poet, Self-Published Author, Motivational Speaker A.D.  Jones a.k.a.  “Jody Jones”.  He’s filled with the spirit, inspiring, anointed, and walking in his destiny, your spirits will be lifted by his gift with words.  Jody Jones a native of Georgetown, S.C.  As an Inspirational Spoken Word Artist and who began at age of 24. His gift in the poetry ministry later led him to begin a group called “As One”. This ministry grew with 11 poets ministering to the hearts, and souls of others throughout the South.  Jody is a Motivational Speaker, making numerous appearances at Open Mics, local schools, and churches. 

Although Jody is busy he found time to author “Salute to Mothers” a book of poetry and inspirational greeting cards.  He mentors youths in the area of video technology and inspires rising poets. Jody now wants to make an even greater impact in lives of others. Stepping out on faith Jody now works under the name A.D Jones in which he co-host as, on SV Promoting Purpose Blog Talk Radio. A.D Jones (Jody) constantly encourages the save and the unsaved to seek their purpose in life and never give up on their dreams. He’s also featured in a Christian base magazine called Promoting Purpose Magazine. 

 Because Jody sees what’s happening in the world today, he wanted to provide a view to the people by producing a poem called “Change and Created Equal” a powerful spoken word piece he knows must get out and reach the masses through radio, television and etc.  He is currently seeking sponsors to support his ministry in which God is constantly breathing life into.   AD Jones is currently on the Promoting Purpose Tour in which he is featured in Promoting Purpose Magazine. He has appeared on several blog talk radio shows such as Promoting Purpose Blog Talk radio, The Abundant Solution with Gregory and Brian, Teen Hype night with Minister Sherita encouraging our youths to stay the right path along with other interviews.  AD Jones loves giving back to the community and is one of S&V Promoting Purpose Motivational speakers.
